The signing of which player this summer would push you over the edge?

Anyone with their best years behind them.

Aside from Messi & Ronaldo, obviously.

they'll talk the talk as they normally do and deliver fuck all. we'll probably get cast offs from Southampton like Shane Long and Crouch from Stoke, plus an assortment of dross from the loan market

My prediction

Well be linked with a few high profile players all summer.

They'll repeatedly turn us down.

Well end up with a journeyman, an overpriced shit foreigner, an Injury plagued player, a young/ lower league signing who will amount to nothing.

these will be panic buys at the last minute.

Traore for me too

I do like the way that Everton are going about their business. They seem to be adding proven quality every transfer window but it does all depend on how they fill the inevitable Lukaku-shaped hole that they will have up front.

If they manage to get that right then they will have a very goof squad on their hands. Especially with the amount of decent young players they have waiting in the wings and Koeman is clearly not afraid of giving them their chance.

Re: Those on here who doubt our transfer policy...
We have not got a policy. Compare us to Everton at the moment. Alright they will probably sell Barkley and/or Lukaku to balance the books but they just go and buy their targets. No waffling in the papers for weeks beforehand or selling players first so that their budget is public knowledge.

Any loan to perm signing of a striker. That would really grind my clams.

Calleri
Simone Zaza
Sam Westley
Jack Sullivan
Slaven Bilic Junior

Sadly - all the comments below appear to be true.

Everton's approach is kind of what I thought we were going to follow as part of the con that was the move to the OS.

We were duped lads and remember everyone of us has spent far more on the club than the 2Bobs who have spent a fat zero pounds ( all loans at 7% on future revenues). They do have the money to secure the loans admittedly but don't be fooled by their claims of spending big. They are spending future TV revenues and ticket sales.

Shysters !!

TBF the main reason Everton are able to be spending the money they are spending is that last summer they sold stones for 50m and this summer they will be getting wedge for lukaku and likely barkley too.

Re: Those on here who doubt our transfer policy...
It's not the shit signings that bother me.

It's more the not signing players or missing out on decent one's that piss me off.

2 years to get a decent striker, how fucking hard can it be

Re: Those on here who doubt our transfer policy...
Please let's not talk shit and claim that we've all spent far more on the club than the owners. That's just a ridiculous thing to say. For so many reasons.

Sven Roeder 1:37 Fri Jun 16
Re: Those on here who doubt our transfer policy...
These things aren't unrelated
They were bold in taking Lukaku for £30m and found Stones at Barnsley for a couple of million
Young players with improvement in them
Not Fonte and Snodgrass

ornchurch ammer 1:37 Fri Jun 16
Re: Those on here who doubt our transfer policy...
They are going and getting realistic targets though.

No 3 week stories like us with Iheancho, no rumours to sell season tickets, just doing the business.

John Terry or Defoe.
